A Wild Troll Has Appeared!

Original title, very original title.

I'm Seravi, or Sera, whichever you prefer. I do have a real name, however, and if you're nice maybe I'll tell you. I've been bouncing around rp sites since 2006 with a few goals in mind: better my wriitng, have fun rping because it's just oh so addicting, and meet new people.

Not sure about this place, but I'm assuming you want a sample of my writing? Very well then, I'll go through my graveyard of failed rp ideas and dig something out for you awesome people.

This is a fail... um I mean an older sample from a character I probably won't rp here, but I hope it works... Feel free to criticize it in any way, also.
In the quiet darkness of the night, he moved through the forest in silence. The moon shined brightly overhead providing just enough lighting to navigate through the thick brush since he had walked off the path a few moments ago. He was told there was a cabin located somewhere in these woods, and that his target resided within. He had been told that the target was a male, forty five in age, but he wasn’t given a name. Not that he cared to know the man’s name; the name of the target was irrelevant to his mission.

Tucked carefully in his shoulder holster, his Desert Eagle .44 magnum pistol rested comfortably on his person; both gun and holster were hidden by the dark leather jacket he wore.

Being a military man, he knew to be careful even under the cover of darkness. Every step was taken with caution, and he remained vigilant. Vigilance was perhaps the only thing his insomnia was good for; he’s heard that, in some cases, people who suffered insomnia experienced heightened senses among other things.

It wasn’t long before he reached the cabin. A quick look around revealed there was a path leading to it all along, he felt somewhat stupid for not noticing it. However, this approach was much easier not to mention wiser. And it wasn’t like he could just waltz in the front door, unannounced, and start firing off rounds. No, he was professional about the way he carried out his missions. He had to be professional and have a calm, collected demeanor lest he be caught by the police or worse.

He felt no nervousness nor did he falter as he eased his way to the nearest window, still quiet as ever as silence was always the most crucial element when it came to hunting. Even if he exactly wasn’t a hunter, he supposed his work was similar in the sense he was stalking his prey and awaiting the moment to strike. The lights were all on, and it puzzled him why someone would want to live in the middle of the forest. And still have electricity at that. There were indeed some strange people in this world. He simply place d the thought aside and continued watching the man inside. He stood up –thankfully not moving to the window as he turned off his television. Perhaps he was getting ready to call it a night.

Now was the perfect time to end this man’s life.

Slowly, he lowered himself so he wouldn’t be seen should the man decide to look out the window. He put his back against the side of the cabin and removed his gun, proceeding to then click off the safety. Then, he peered cautiously through the window again to see if the man was still in view. It was a small cabin; the living room and kitchen were not separated by walls. This window gave him a clear view of everything except the bedroom and bathroom areas. Fortunately, the man remained in view as he moved about the cabin. He was still unaware of the danger that lurked outside his window, evident by the way he had his back turned, which only worked in his favor.

Grinning, he took aim, and fired. The man didn’t even know what hit him; his lifeless body hit the ground with a soft thud within seconds after the bullet left the barrel of his pistol. Mission complete and a job well done, he tucked the pistol back into his holster and examined his work for a moment. Not one of his better jobs, but it was still a clean shot nonetheless.

Ducking back into the shadows, he crept off into the night. Town was a few miles from here, and there he would find a payphone to call 'Maverick' and confirm his work had been done. He took the path leading from the cabin, careful not to look too suspicious should someone come up said path, and went on his way.

Then there's this..

What I look for in a roleplay:
Likes:
Someone who will wrote more than a paragraph
Good character development and detail
Someone who will stick around until the end and not just stop in the middle (though rl stuff is understandable)
Strong plot development/plot twists
Humor

Dislikes:
Mary Sues
Godmoders/metagamers and such
People who vanish without warning
One liners and lack of detail
Roleplaying for the sake of sex or relationships only
Someone who doesn't contribute to the plot in any way, using my ideas as a crutch so to speak

Yep, even if it may have been a tad undeeded I think that about covers it. And yes, I put those in spoilers because I couldn't figure out how to do it otherwise and it still works anyway. I suck at forums. Nevertheless, I may just stick around for awhile if I decide I like this place enough ;) Do feel free to strike a conversation or plot some roleplays with me.

Oh and I'm more of a 1x1 person unless a group is just that intriguing.

Re: A Wild Troll Has Appeared!

*gives Sera a cookie* Hello!

First, I do hope you will forgive me, but for some reason the second spoiler wasn't showing, so I went in and edited it out. Second! A very warm welcome to Anubis Scripts!

There are few places for roleplay on AS that require a form, because, like you, I dislike them intensely, and even when one is required I tend to deviate from it. Forms, I believe, are guides to help one remember what to put in apps, not absolutes that must be followed to the letter. After all, roleplaying is not about listing things; it's a love affair with words and characters that is spun between two or more minds which seek to emerge themselves in creativity.

Those places that require forms are the original worlds that ask only that a small character app is given before roleplay can begin, but I can assure you that we are quick to approve them. You are free to play the general genres, such as Real Life, Fantasy, and Horror, to your heart's content without having to fill out character apps.

And I love that you put this in your dislikes! "Someone who doesn't contribute to the plot in any way, using my ideas as a crutch so to speak." I love plotting. So much fun ^^

The best place to post and look for plots is in The Want Ads when you feel you've become comfortable enough with AS to begin rping. I invite you to jump right in!

If you have any questions, dear Sera, please don't hesitate to ask. I or my cohort in crime, Tammika, are usually lurking in the chat, so feel free to jump in!

Welcome! Welcome!

*happily noms cookie* :3

I couldn't have said that better myself, Truth!

I do greatly appreciate the welcome, and it's such a relief to know that there's no huge forms/aps to fill out before jumping in. I also like how everything's seperated into different categories and such. I'm simple and like organization lol And after looking around, though I haven't looked much into the original worlds yet and will probably get to those eventually, this does indeed seem like a nice place so I'll be here for awhile probably.

By the way, I absolutely love your sig!

Hell yeah, purple is such a pretty color~

I love seeing what people can do with GIMP, though I myself can't use it to save my life. It would be so awesome if you'd make me a sig *o*

Re: A Wild Troll Has Appeared!

Yay! Just PM me a pic(s) you want to use or if you'd rather I attempt it freehand with brushes, and what you want it to say.
