I'll let you handle Taylor so she has a more consistent personality. With such an important extra it might unbalance things. Though if you need me to in future posts i do have info for Julian to tell Raa about Marcus' past, whenever we get to that point. (boy that sounds confusing lol!)

Sure! Every character but Raa is considered NPC on my part. I've left an opening for Julian to tell Raa what he knows in my last post.

Also something I'd like to get to, once we move past 'friends in school', is to have Marcus meet Raa's uncle and his partner, maybe because Raa needs help with cooking, or something (because Raa can't even cook ramen noodles ). Raa's uncle is a very big part of his life, and will ultimately explain why Raa is living with him, and not in Lebanon.

Is there anything specific at this point you want to mention for the plot?

OOh meeting families. I like the idea, can't wait to meet the uncle! Marcus's family is pretty tame except for the fact that he gets along really well with his sister. She will listen to him sometimes before she'll listen to their parents.

Plot wise hmmm we should throw in something about their respective sports. Maybe the drama between marc and raa effects his football playing. marcus should get the crap beat out of him and that effects him qualifying for the very first swim meet.

Ay-ya! Marcus getting the crap beat out of him? How sad! And an interesting plot twist that would definitely make for killer angst.

I had the idea while back about throwing a medical condition in for Raa that effects his playing abilities. Like a heart condition that requires a corrective surgery, but he opts not to get it because it would mean missing out on the college scouts. He doesn't tell anyone at school, but during a game he goes down, and gets emergent surgery to correct the problem. This leaves him without a sports scholarship, and his grades aren't good enough to get him an academic scholarship, so he has to explore other possibilities, something that Marcus, possibly, could help him out with. But the true catch? Raa doesn't really love football. He could take it, or leave it. He just plays it because he's always played it, and it's become expected of him and he sees no other avenues. Sort of like why he's with Taylor: it's been school tradition (as it was in my high school) that the top players on the football team date the top prettiest girls in school. It's expected of him.

I dunno, just a couple of ideas I tossed around that may or may not come to fruition.

But I do think that we have the capabilities to take this beyond normal roleplaying and moving it up a notch into something that feels far more real and encompassing than 'just another roleplay', you know?

That sounds great. The medical condition and the lack of football love is good. I can see it working well that way. We should work towards that angle and see how things fall into place. maybe the closer we get to key events we will have a better picture as to how Marcus can help Raa out.

Not sure if he gets the crap beat out of him but gets in a fight, hey, maybe he holds his own and surprises the attackers, but either way it will almost effect his ability to participate in the first swim meet.

It would be awesome if Marcus could hold his own! But then gets overwhelmed in the end by sheer number? Or gets taken out by a dirty trick. Because, well, there are very few high school boys who actually fight fair, especially when they're wanting to make a point, right?

So when would swim season start? I didn't have a swim team at my school so I'm not sure of the schedule there.

Swimming starts in oct- early Nov.

I'm thinking they get him after swim practice so he's already tired. He get's beat pretty bad but Derrick and the coach break it up.

I'm thinking we need to discuss some more possible plot for this.

So we have the cooking class, the bbq, Raa somehow not making it through football this season (I'm not sure anymore about a medical problem, maybe he just breaks his arm? I dunno), Greg making his reappearance, and Eric Wilson in there somewhere.

When do you want to bring these things about? I'm thinking Raa (maybe) breaks his arm in the homecoming game, right after the bbq. Not sure about homecoming in Texas, but I know in NM homecoming is in late Sept. early Oct, so I'm going to set it up the same way.

Well next will be CA class. I think in there we need to add a girl that flirts big time with Raa bwahahah.

Then the bbq, fun times combing families and a celebration for Marcus' making second in state championships in swimming?

Yes, Raa breaks his arm at the homecoming sounds good too. ( that sounds odd lol)

Maybe Eric show up during Christmas break, back from college to see family. Shows up at a fast food place and causes trouble??

Ooh, I like the idea of some girl crushing on Raa! Have to figure out how to play her, though. I don't want another total *itch. Any ideas on that one?

Sounds good on the Eric part. Maybe that's when Marcus tells Raa the rest of what happened there?

Oh definitely. He will have to tell Raa when Raa sees his reaction to Eric.

The girl should be nice but a little conniving. She could try and break them up and think nothing of it because she refuses to acknowledge raa and marcus as an actual relationship.

Sounds good to me. You want to play her? Sounds like you already have a good idea of how she should be.

Marcus, who has had to put up with Jessica's flirting with Raa for a month now, plus Raa's completely clueless attitude toward it, get's mad, and they have a fight after the game. Maybe Marcus is acting cold or something? Either way, Raa has no clue.

Possibly the fight carries over into the next day, when Raa demands Aban and Kendall cancel the bbq, Marcus does the same with his parents(?), but both parental units refuse. Raa has had time to think about it, rant to Aban and Kendall, and realizes he's an unintentional douche, and apologizes.

Maybe part of a vignette could be those two getting together. I think we've already talked about that... Pretty sure we did. But it would be so cute! Only thing is that it would put a lot of the characters on you (Marc, Derrick, and Sam).

derrick going to France
exchange student moving in on marcus
raa busy with college and job
new friends taking up raa's time so very little alone time for them
student teacher

All this causes them to break up.... *sad face*

Adoption/Surrogate:

Either they choose a surrogate, or a family member leaves a child with them without notice, and disappears.

(there's not a lot of plot on this one yet, but definitely one I want to do!)
